Jason Ray Locklear of Pembroke, NC, died on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

He is survived by his father, Gary Dean Sanderson; his mother, Willie Mae Locklear and her special friend, Gene; his fiancée, Pat Harris of Pembroke, NC; a daughter, Josilynn "Doodie" Locklear of Fayetteville, NC; two sons, Xavier McMillan of Maxton, NC and Caleb Woods of Pembroke, NC; a stepdaughter, Candace Octavia Lowery; two brothers, Gary Sanderson and wife Samantha of Shannon, NC and Allen Sanderson and wife Michelle of Fairmont, NC; five sisters: Sheryl Locklear of Pembroke, NC, Michelle Williams of Raeford, NC, Chrystal Futrell and husband Kevin of Raeford, NC, Angie Hunt of Raeford, NC, and Regina Locklear of Pembroke, NC; and two grandchildren, Ausaniyah "Rosie" and Bentleigh, who were Papa's babies.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Alton Oxendine officiating. Jason will be buried in the Locklear Family Cemetery, located at Onnie and Joe Road in Pembroke, NC.
