Janie Faye Hunt Ransom, age 58, of Fairmont, NC passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Morning Star Assisted Living in Pembroke, NC. Janie was born December 3, 1964 in Robeson County to Redell Hunt and Betty Chavis Hunt.

Janie was a graduate of Fairmont High School and she attended Northside Independent Church where she taught Sunday School and was the choir director. Janie was very devoted to her family and she truly loved the Lord.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband, David Ransom.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, David O'Neil Ransom (Justina) of Fairmont, NC and Marcus O'Brian Ransom  of Lumberton, NC; her parents, Redell Hunt and Betty Chavis Hunt of Fairmont, NC; five brothers, Ardell (Tricia), Ledell, Glendell, Redell, Jr., and Rev. Timmy Hunt (Linda) all of Fairmont, NC; five sisters, Judy and Brenda Hunt, Teresa Granados (Gilberto), Lissa Gonzales, and Ashley Cribb (Craig) all of Fairmont, NC; five grandchildren, Lillyonna, Brylyn, Scarlett, Gabreilla, and Aubree; a special friend, Tammy Hunt of Fairmont, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 2 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC. Burial will follow in Northside Independent Church Cemetery, Hwy 301 in Lumberton, NC.
