Janice Smith Gallagher, age 65, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016, at her home in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on May 15, 1951 and was a devoted wife, mother, & grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curley Smith.

She is survived by her mother, Naomi Lee Smith of Lumberton; her husband, Richard Gallagher of the home; 2 sons: Christopher Pait & John Richard Gallagher and wife Crystal, all of Lumberton; 2 daughters: Jessica Gallagher and husband Corey Wellman & Tiffany Wright Jackson and husband Chris, all of Lumberton; 4 brothers: Paul Smith and wife Pam of Baltimore, MD and Don Smith, Dwight Smith, & Anthony Smith, all of Lumberton; 4 sisters: Claire Smith, Drew Hardin, & Delilah Chavis all of Laurinburg, and Laura Kim Lowery of Lumberton; 12 grandchildren: Victoria, Kayla, Ashley, Brianna, Corey, Jr., Gunner, McKenzie, Johnny, Riley, Nolan, Owen, & Emily; and 1 great-grandchild, Akaisha.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2016, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens.
