Ms. Janet Caughman Rawls, 83, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015, at home after a brief illness. She was born in South Carolina on December 6, 1931, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Sallie Lou Enzor. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Enoch Rawls, Sr., and two daughters, Sybil Buffkin and Karen Rawls Williams. Surviving are her children: Debra (Donnie) Blackburn of Lumberton, James Rawls of Maggie Valley, Greg (Elizabeth) Rawls of Lumberton, Eric Burney Rawls of Hendersonville; 11 loving grandchildren; 19 loving great grandchildren; 1 loving great-great grandchild; and several loving nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Clybournville Baptist Church. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Clybournville Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Clegg officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery of Fair Bluff, NC.
