Jamie "Stoney" Lee Stone from Fairmont, NC died on May 13th, 2016.
Jamie was born April 19th, 1985, Luther E. Stone Jr. (Wife Becky Stone) and Linda Bass George (Husband Charles George). He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Luther E. Stone Sr. and maternal grandparents Graham and Doris Bass. He is survived by his sister Tiffany Stone Patterson, his nephews Jamie Dolton Stone, Chandler Graham Stone, and Caleb Joshua Daniels; his paternal grandmother Margaret Stone; his Aunt Amy, Joyce, Ann, Nancy, and Theresa, his uncle Mark Lynn; his stepsister Stephanie and Step nephew Bryson; and his Step grandmother Reba Sanderson.
Jamie was blessed to also be a part of another family. So he is also preceded in death by his "Mama" Joyce Lewis. He is survived by his mother Janice Faulk; Brothers Jordan Faulk, Jared Faulk, and Joey Faulk; Sister Julia Ellerby; nieces Jordan Reese Faulk and Mackenzie Grace Faulk and special friends Jasmin Emanuel and Casey Kissam; and a special German Sheppard "Niko".
If you were ever around Jamie, your jaws were hurting from laughing so hard. He was always telling jokes and most certainly loved trashing talking. To him it was a sport and if that was the case then we would have received a gold medal. He was everyone's best friend. He seemed to always be around when you needed him. Jamie's biggest fan was himself. He would always say "look at this pretty face". He thought he was God's gift to women and many women would probably agree that he was. He also believed that he was the best baseball player in the world. Growing up baseball was his life and it is also where he made the best friends that he still has today. He continued playing until adulthood for his Long Branch Church group and nothing made him happier than getting together with friends on the weekend and playing ball.
Jamie was so loved and will deeply be missed by all. We ask that you please keep our family and friends in your prayers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Long Branch Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Brett Young and Rev. Tim Tyner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Burial will be private.
"There's no way around grief and loss: you can dodge all you want, but sooner or later you just have to go into it, through it, and, hopefully, come out the other side. The world you find there will never be the same as the world you left."
