Mr. James Willie "Lumbee" Hunt, age 49, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020. He was born in Robeson County on February 4, 1970 to the late Nathan Junior Hunt and the late Lucy Bartley Hunt.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Almena Oxendine Bartley.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Ann Hunt of the home; his children: Dakota Kitch, Canyon Hunt, Nathan Fontes, and Alexis Hunt; two stepdaughters, Harmonie Strickland and Constance Strickland; a granddaughter, Akaylee Kitch; six brothers: Grady Oxendine, Jr., Thomas Hunt, Glen Ray Bartley, Scotty Bell, Nathan Hunt, and Stacy Hunt; seven sisters: Carolyn Hunt Lowery, Patsy Jones, Brenda Spaulding Hunt, Tawanna Bartley, Lynn Hunt, and Ashley Hunt; and special friends: Mickey Locklear, Manny Stubbs, Duwayne Fisher, Jeremiah Simon, Eric Canady, Charles Lee Bartley, Theresa Blue, Charles Branch, and Miss Mary.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton.
