James "Jim" William Cain, Jr., age 80, of Orrum, NC went home to be with his Heavenly father on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Mr. Cain was born November 21, 1944 in Bladen County to the late James William Cain, Sr. and the late Eva Mae Stanley Cain.

Known to most people as Jim, he served in the ministry since 1992. He was well known for serving on funerals and weddings. He loved people and loved helping people whenever he could. He enjoyed his animals, especially his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; his three children, Candy, Patrick and Jeff; a loving sister, Linda Ellis (Charles) of Evergreen; a lifelong friend, Jimmy Smith; special family friends, Nickey, Brandon, Travis and Jaylan (the Boys), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 2:00-3:00PM at Orrum Baptist Church, 760 S. Creek Road, Orrum, NC 28369. The funeral will immediately follow in the church at 3:00PM.

Burial will also follow in the church cemetery.
