Mr. James Walter "Toby" Britt, age 74, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Robeson County on November 1, 1938 to the late Clarence Britt and the late Golder Floyd Britt. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Britt is survived by his wife, Dorothy Meares Britt ("Dot") of the home; five sons, James E. Britt (Rebecca) of Augusta, GA, Curtis Jeffery Britt (Debbie) of Rowland, NC, Charles Billy Britt and (Jackie) of Lumberton, NC, Michael C. Britt (Carolyn Miller) of Fairmont, NC and Patrick Britt of the home; two daughters, Patricia A. Britt (Janet Bieda) of Lumberton and Pamela J. Britt, of the home; two sisters, Gladys Berry of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Brenda Craycraft of Lumberton, NC; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held on Monday evening from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 3:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Jerry Lowery and Rev. Billy Watford officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.
