Mr. James Kenneth Tyner, 81, of Lumberton, NC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 4, 1940 to the late Herbert Ellis Tyner and the late Clara Townsend Tyner.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Gloria Jean Phillips Tyner.

He is survived by his children, Kenny Tyner (Joy) and Tammy Breeden (Patrick), all of Lumberton, NC; his grandchildren: Kenny Tyner, Jr., Matthew Tyner, and Savannah McBride (Douglas); his great-grandson, Owen McBride; and his brothers, Bobby Tyner (Grace) of Whiteville, NC and Sandy Tyner (Sandra) of Bolivia, NC.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Michael Bowen and Patrick Breeden officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC
