James "Jamie" Shepard Scott, 61, of Lumberton, NC, passed away November 1, 2024.

Jamie was involved in music his entire life.  Starting in high school, he played in a band called "Boltz". He cherished those times with his friends. He loved his mother and was devoted to her until the time of her passing. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Dow Scott and James Scott.

He is survived by his nephews, Ashton Watts and William Ryan Pittman, both of the home; a niece, Haley Pittman of the home; a sister, Kimberly Watts and husband, Ivan of Lumberton; a brother, Leon Wise of Indiana; and two great-nephews, Storm Brooks and Kai Smith.

A time of visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with Pastor Anthony Rich officiating.
