Mr. James Redell Hunt age 84, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at his home.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 26, 1937 to the late Silas Hunt and the late Beulah Dial Sanderson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Marvin Sanderson; one brother, Pernell Hunt; a sister, Essie Neal Leggett; a brother-in-law, Lonny Campbell; and a sister-in-law, Irene Hunt.

He was a lifelong member of New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church.

Mr. Redell is survived by four brothers, Adnell Hunt of Leland, NC, Earl Sanderson (Wilma) of Pinetops, NC, Bobby Sanderson (Janice) of Pembroke, NC, and Gregory Sanderson of Fairmont, NC; three sisters: Jessie Sampson of Garner, NC, Annie Campbell of Morganton, NC, and Joanne Hayes (Corky) of Orrum, NC; special nieces, Tammy Davenport and Belinda Hunt who were his caregivers, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 3pm at New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.
