James Leon "Pete" Hunt, age 69 of Fairmont passed away Friday, May 12, 2017.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 5:00pm at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont.

Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, prior to the service from 3:00-5:00pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Pete was born July 3, 1947 in Robeson County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearlie Mae Hunt and Wade Clark; his maternal grandparents, Mattie Hunt and Gurney Barnes; a sister Diantha Clark Lockley and a brother, Gary Clark.

He is survived by two sons, James Hunt and wife Brandy of Lumberton and Richard Hunt of Wilmington; one daughter, Kelly Hunt of Lumberton; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Wade Clark, Jr., Terry Clark and Johnny Clark all of Fairmont; four sisters, Helen Maynor, Linda Jacobs and Debbie Fowler all of Fairmont and June Brooks of Laurinburg and a great host of cousins, other family and friends.
