James Lynn Britt, age 72, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on January 5, 1945 to the late James Lavern and Leola Lamb Britt.  He previously worked for KM Tractor Company and Howell Trucking Company as a driver.

Mr. Britt is survived by his wife, Shelia Taylor Britt of the home; sons, Michael Lynn Britt and Ray Britt both of Lumberton; daughter, Dorcas Bridgeman (Mark) of Lumberton; sister, Jessie Lou Britt of Gray's Creek; grandchildren, Brandon Branch, Whitney Christen, Taylor Britt, Jamie Britt, Connor Bridgeman, and Lindsay Bridgeman; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Conley Matlock, Rev. Gene Phillips, and Rev. Tony Stevens officiating.  Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 for 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
