James Luther Hunt (Duke), age 64, of Fairmont passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Pembroke Center in Pembroke, NC.

He was born September 8, 1956 in Robeson County to William and Isabel Hunt. Most of his years was spent working in the tobacco and farming industry. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his mother, Isabel Hunt.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of forty-three years, Carrie Mae Hunt of the home; two sons, James Earl Hunt (Amanda) of Fairmont and Christopher Hunt (Kayla) of Lumberton; two daughters, Tawanda Huggins Lucero of Lumberton and Brittany Summerford (Joshua) of Fairmont; 8 grandchildren; his father, William Hunt of Fairmont; three brothers, William, Larry and Terry Hunt; a sister, Linda Hunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 6-8pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 at 2pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church.
