Mr. James Howard Lewis, age 53, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020. He was born in Freeport, NY on November 1, 1967 and he was employed with Charlie Benton Welding Service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lewis, and his wife, Belinda Locklear Lewis.

James is survived by his mother, Recie Locklear Lewis of Fairmont, NC; his fiancée, Betty Deese of the home; his daughters: Brandy Lewis of Lumberton, NC, Chasity Lewis of Fairmont, NC, Delonna Lewis of Charlotte, NC, and Shewanna Lewis of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Earl Lewis of Lumberton, NC and Jimmie Lewis, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; five sisters: Dessie Oxendine and Lisa Lewis, both of Fairmont, NC, Dianna Richardson and husband James of Hollister, NC, Jessica Lewis of Rocky Mount, NC, and Christina Goins of Pembroke, NC; and 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Hebron Holiness Church Cemetery in Maxton, NC with Rev. Frederick Locklear officiating.
