Mr. James Carlie Lambert, age 81, of Fairmont departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Greenbrier Assisted Living in Fairmont.

He was born April 15, 1938 in Robeson County

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Zeeke and Annie Mae Lambert; his wife Gertie Mae Lambert; his former wife, Mazolia Lambert; one daughter, Betty Lambert Hunt; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by seven sons,Carlie Junior Locklear, James E. Locklear, William Lambert, Richard T. Locklear, Ricky Lambert, Levon Hunt, and Tommy Hunt; three daughters, Martin Locklear, Kimberly Lambert, and Joanne Locklear; twenty-six grandchildren and forty-one great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday January 17, 2020 from 7:00PM-9:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 18, 2020 at 2:00PM at Dogwood Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Burnett officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairpoint Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
