James Hubert Lamb, 87, of Lumberton, NC, passed away at Southeastern Hospice House on Sunday, September 18, 2022. James was born on Monday, March 25, 1935 in Robeson County, NC to the late George R. Lamb and Maggie Herring Lamb.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lamb; his brother, Harold D. Lamb; and two sisters, Hilda Atkinson and Helen Jean Lamb.

James is survived by his son, Jamie Lamb and wife Ronda of Shannon, NC; two granddaughters, Macelyn and Loren Lamb; and three sisters: Hazel Bass and husband John, Barbara Tyner and husband Buddy, and Brenda Lawson and husband William, all of Lumberton. In addition to many nieces and nephews, James is survived by a special friend, Gene Strickland.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.
