James Alfred Knight, age 72, of Lumberton, NC passed away o Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on October 16, 1942 to the late Alfred and Martha Robeson Knight. He worked in farming as a share-cropper. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Knight. Mr. Knight is survived by brothers, Horce Knight and Bobby Knight of Lumberton, and Mitchell Knight of Laurel Hill; sisters, Joyce Chavis, Ann Bell, Celoria Knight all of Lumberton, Mable Locklear of Fairmont, a daughter, Wanda Rozier of the home; and special friend, Valerie Mcbryde. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 3:oo PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Pastor Tim Holden and Rev. Daniel Locklear officiating.
