Mr. James Robert "Junior" Smith, Jr. age 87, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was born in Robeson County on January 31, 1927 to the late James Robert and Lillie Baxley Smith and he was a World War II veteran. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Brisson. He is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Smith of the home, two sons, James W. "Jimmy" Smith and wife Lavon of Dunn, NC and Mickey Smith and wife Kathy of Lumberton, a sister, Rosa Lee Butler of Lumberton, five grandchildren, William Smith of Houston, TX, David Smith of Dunn, NC, Kimberly Ivey of Fairmont, NC, Brandon Smith of Lumberton, and Brian Smith of Lumberton, nine great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
