James Howard Sessoms, Sr., age 85, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on August 8, 1931 to the late James Elwood and Edna Ruth Bullock Sessoms.

Mr. Sessoms is survived by his wife, Sue Hardin Sessoms; a son, James "Howard" Sessoms, Jr. (Ann); a daughter, June S. Sanderson (Len); grandchildren, Maria Sanderson Jackson (Jeff) and James Trent Sessoms (Susan); and great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Jackson and Grayson Sessoms.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery with Rev. George Conner officiating.  A time of visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
