Mr. James Howard Britt, age 84, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home. He was born in Robeson County, NC on May 3, 1939, to the late Blanche Musselwhite and the late Raymond Britt.

James enjoyed spending most of his time hunting, fishing, and watching old Westerns and "Family Feud".

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nollie & John Lester Musselwhite; his sisters, Nancy Pulley and Linda Jean Britt, and his brothers, Carey Pulley and Joseph Linwood Britt.

James is survived by his wife, Ethel Britt of the home; his daughters: Samantha Kirby, Stephanie Gist (Michael), Robbie Britt (Alan), Michelle Bass (Donna), Stephanie Horrell, and Vickie Jackson (Johnny); his brothers, Carl Ray Pulley (Elsie) of Tarheel and Robert Pulley III (Carolyn) of Hope Mills; his sister-in-law, Juanita Eastman of the home; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Russell Kinlaw officiating.
