Mr. James Sprunt Floyd, age 83, of Fairmont, NC passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC.

Mr. Sprunt was born November 17, 1938 in Robeson County, NC to the late Hinnant Floyd and the late Hilda Ruth Williams Floyd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dixie Davis Floyd; a son, Michael Sprunt Floyd; one brother, John Preston Floyd and one sister, Evelyn Floyd.; a step son, Terry Lynn Taylor.

Mr. Sprunt was a high school graduate. He served in the US Marines and he always loved to make people laugh. He was a loving family man and enjoyed farming.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Pat Taylor Floyd; one son, Drake Floyd (Melissa) of Pennsylvania; two step sons, Wayne Taylor and Chris Taylor (Sheryl) both of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Catherine Reynolds of St. Pauls, NC; 2 grandsons, Matthew Floyd and Kyle Floyd; 13 step-grandchildren.

The family will greet visitors prior to the memorial service from 1:00-2:00PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Rd. in Fairmont, NC. Following the visitation his Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Southeastern Hospice House 1100 Pine Run Dr. Lumberton, NC 28358.
