James Edward Floyd, 73, of Lumberton, died Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born September 27, 1948 in Lumberton, NC to George Edward Floyd and Bernice Parker Floyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James served his country with the United States Army stationed in Germany. James loved golf, training racehorses, and he also loved anything Duke.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Shea Todd, and Randy, both of Lumberton, and Jay of Clayton, NC; three grandchildren, Nathan, Bryce, and Savannah; the mother of his children, Faye Floyd; and his siblings, Linda Oliver of Lumberton, Peggy and Jim Wagoner of Mount Airy, NC.

A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Phillips Family Cemetery on Lamb Road in Lumberton. The visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
