Mr. James Stephenson "Crocker" Hunt of Rowland was born on August 30, 1940 in Robeson County to the late Pearl and Mary Ellen Hunt and departed his life on December 18, 2021 at Morning Star, completing his journey of 81 years.

James is also preceded in death by his son James Troy Hunt Sr. and daughter Penny Hunt and former wife Julie Mae Smith Hunt; three sisters, Sarah Hunt, Sally Mae Hunt, and Cinderelia Hunt Sealey.

James leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Shelia Blue of the home; one half-sister, Carolyn of Charlotte, NC; two step daughters, Khelia Raynea Blue and Jamie Utah Blue; seven kids of whom he helped raise; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; a very special sister-in-law, Gerlene Blue Hammonds and caregiver, Austin "Doc" Jones; two special nieces, Lori Williams and Tina Edwards; and a host of friends and relatives.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday December 23, 2021 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at Harvest of the Assemblies of God Cemetery in Raynham, NC.

A Graveside service will be followed in the Cemetery at 2:00PM with Revs. Jerry Butler and Woodrow Jones officiating.
