Mr. James Lynn Covington, age 60, of Bladenboro, formerly of Lumberton, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 18, 1961 to the late Jimmy Covington and to Elsie Bass Covington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Covington.

Mr. Covington is survived by his mother, Elsie Bass Covington, of Lumberton; one brother, David Covington of Lumberton; one sister, Betty Ann Covington Savage of Lumberton and his special nieces and nephews, Allison Savage, Keira Savage, Daniel Savage and Brian Savage, all of Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 1:00PM at New Hollywood Cemetery with Pastor Rodney Hunt officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
