James Roy Cabe, Sr., age 69, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Woodhaven Nursing Center of Lumberton. He was born on February 6, 1944 in Buncombe County to the late Roy W. Cabe and Lula Tilson Cabe. He was formerly a truck driver for PTL Truck Lines. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Gayra Lowman Cabe. He is survived by his son, James Roy Cabe, Jr. and wife, Ayako, of Asheville, NC; his daughter, Sharon C. Britt and husband, Donald, of Lumberton; and four grandchildren, Jonathan Britt, Daniel Cabe, Noah Cabe, and Eligh Cabe; and a host of close friends.
