Obituary

James Dillon Bethea, 31, of Lumberton, NC, formerly of Fairmont, NC, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. He was born in Cumberland County, NC on November 26, 1991 to the late LaDee Marie Carpenter. He was a graduate of Fairmont High School and, as a youth, he loved to hunt and fish.

Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earl Carpenter.
He is survived by his brothers, Jeremy Bethea of Lumberton, NC and Johnathan Bethea (Jana) of Fairmont, NC; his grandmother, Helen Cook Carpenter of Fairmont, NC; his uncle, John Earl Carpenter (Teresa) of Fairmont, NC; special friends, Daulmon Bucky Potts, Phil Britt, and Matt Hunt; and many other friends.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.
