Mr. James Henry Bailey, 82, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 1, 1940 to the late Romie & Mattie Bailey.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, infant Paul Bailey and James Edward Bailey, and his sister, Janice Bailey Solsky.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Taylor Bailey of the home; his son, Anthony Lee Bailey (Catrina) of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren: Joshua Bailey (Megan), Courtney Bailey, Draper Bailey (Brittany), Kelsey Pittman (Anthony), and Hayden Bailey, all of Lumberton, NC; eight great-grandchildren: James, Jackson, Jesse, Logan, Gatlin, Holden, Konnor, and Kiyanna; and his sister, Kaye Brady of Franklinville, NC.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, 5089 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mark Meadows and Pastor Blake Dodd officiating.

Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
