James Alvin Prevatte, 82, of Lumberton, NC, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Pink Prevatte and Berline Parnell Prevatte; his wife, Lou Ellen Parnell Prevatte; a brother, Alton Prevatte; and two sisters, Louise Calder and Margaret Branch.

He is survived by a son, Jamie Prevatte (Myra) of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Prevatte (Larry Lewis, Jr.) of Lumberton, NC; three grandchildren: Amber Caballero (Hector), Kimberly Prevatte (Justin Lawson), and Skyler Ruth Wells (Brock Boyd); and three great-grandchildren: C.J. Caballero, A.J. Caballero, and Jaxxson Boyd.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc. in Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 2 p.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lumberton with Rev. Darrell Little officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.
