Mr. Jackie Lynn Rising, age 52, of Bladenboro, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Bladenboro County Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born in Robeson County on December 18, 1961. Mr. Rising was preceded in death by his father, Furney Rising. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Ivey Rising of the home; his mother, Easter Kinlaw Rising of Bladenboro; three brothers, Frankie Rising, Ronnie Rising and Ricky Rising, all of Bladenboro and Willie Durden of Bladenboro and a sister, Bonnie Britt of Elizabethtown. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2:00PM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Dennis Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Kinlaw Cemetery on Hwy. 41 North in Lumberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
