Félix Avila Carachure, 77, of St. Pauls, NC, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at his home. He was born in México on May 17, 1944 to the late Enrique Avila Reyes and the late Elena Carachure Martínez.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Virgilio Solís; a sister, Nicolasa Solís; and his daughter, Reina Avila.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Piedra Salas of the home; five sons: Carlos Avila and wife Rosie of Mesa, AZ, José Avila and wife Ramona of St. Pauls, NC; Ismael Avila and wife Edith of Red Springs, NC, Arcenio Avila and wife Aracely of Goodyear, AZ, and Rodrigo Avila of Litchfield Park, AZ; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Raul Solís of Red Springs, NC; and two sisters, Virginia Solís of México and Rutila Solís of Florida.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 1:00 PM at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 301 Mercer Avenue in Red Springs, NC. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
