Irwin Stone, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Lumberton Health & Rehab in Lumberton, N.C.

Irwin was born January 28, 1936 in Robeson County, N.C. to the late Vernon and Estella Stone. He was also preceded in death by a son William Irwin Stone.

He is survived by his wife Annie Ruth Stone of the home; two sons and their wives, Larry and Lynn Stone of Rocky Point, N.C., and Jeff and Jennifer Stone of Orrum, N.C., a brother, Billy and Lois Stone of Lumberton; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Broad Ridge Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Johnny Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Broad Ridge Baptist Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be Monday, October 1, 2018, from 6pm-8pm  at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5 ^th Street in Lumberton
