Tessie Irene Connor Haywood, age 72, of Orrum, NC, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Orrum, NC. She was born July 20, 1950 in Robeson County to the late Jesse Connor and the late Elizabeth Britt Connor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Albert Haywood; two sisters, Nancy Connor and Virginia Hardin.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Elizabeth Miller (Justin) of Orrum, NC; a son, Jestin Haywood of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, George Connor (Brenda) and James Earl Connor (Susan), both of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren: Trent Haywood, Hunter Haywood, JT Miller, Hayleigh Miller, and Connor Haywood; and a special friend, Karen Gay, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, at 1:00 PM in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont, NC. Burial will follow in Princess Ann Baptist Church Cemetery (Britt), 2819 Princess Ann Road in Orrum, NC.
