Ms. Inez Brock, age 84, of Lumberton, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her home. She was born in Robeson County on April 17, 1928 to the late Shep and Carrie Elizabeth Faulk Scott. She was a homemaker for the most of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Henderson Brock, son Thomas Henderson Brock and wife Toni Safford Brock, a brother James Everette Scott, a sister, Margaret Scott Gore, an aunt, Vada Coleman, and a grandchild Laura Beth Brock.

Ms. Brock is survived by one son, James Ray Brock and wife Lynn of Hope Mills; three daughters, Phyllis Brock Hall and husband Tommy of Lumberton , Carrie Brock Miller and husband Dale of Lumberton, and Renee Brock Hammond and husband David Jr. of the home; three brothers ,Edward Earl Scott of Goldsboro; Perry Scott of Sanford; and Lloyd Scott of Lumberton; twelve grandchildren , Timmy Meares, Shawn Deviney, Dawn Mann, Barry Hall, Michael Hall, Katie Thorndyke, April Martin, Kristy Hinson, Lauren Miller, Heather Norton, Brandon Brock, Mitch Miller, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Ms. Brock was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother who devoted her life to care for her family. She loved the Lord and was a Tar Heel Fan.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorials to be made to Gibson Cancer Center 1200 Pine Run Dr. Lumberton, NC 28358.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Leroy Burke and Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
