Iler Mae Hunt Freeman, age 84, of Fairmont passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at her home.

Ms. Iler was born June 11, 1935 in Robeson County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bunion and Elleree Hunt; her husband, Herbert H. Freeman; two sons, Danny Lee Freeman and Harvey Freeman three sisters, Willa Mae Brooks, Shirley Bullard and Barbara Hunt; and two brothers, Percell Hunt and Willie C. Hunt; a daughter-in-law, Diane Carter Freeman.

She leaves to cherish her memories five sons, James H. Freeman of Lumberton, Larry D. Freeman and wife Debbie of Rowland, Verndell Freeman of Fairmont, Phillip Freeman and wife Stephanie of Rowland and Nelson Freeman and wife Alisa of Pembroke; four daughters, Norma J. Blue and husband Eddie of Fairmont, Darlene Carter and husband Wayne of Rowland, Tammy Freeman of Lumberton and Sarah Hunt and husband Michael of Rowland; one brother, Branford Hunt and wife Debbie all of Fairmont; four sisters, Gladys Freeman and Brenda Carter and husband Ronald all of Lumberton, Rebecca Hunt of Fairmont and Blondie Oxendine and husband Waymond of Red Springs; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Private graveside service will be held at New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery.
