Hurl Truman Lovette, 62, of Lumberton died on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on December 2, 1948 to Von Lovette and Inez Lewis Lovette. He owned and operated Lovette??s Body Shop.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rudolph Lovette, Grady Lovette, Albert Lovette and Junior Lovette; and sisters, Carolyn Farley, Helen Myers and Amelia Ann Britt.

Mr. Lovette is survived by his wife, Barbara Jacobs Lovette of the home; sons, Richard D. Jacobs and Robert Rodriguez both of Lumberton; brother, William Morris Lovette of VA; seven grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

A graveside service will be held of Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton with Rev. Brian Jacobs officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
