Mr. Hubert Waddell, Sr. age 85, of Lumberton, NC passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at McLeod Medical Center in Florence, SC.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on July 20, 1935 to the late Lee Richmond Waddell and the late Marjorie West Waddell.  He retired from Federal Paper Board and Southern States.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lamb Waddell; a daughter, Iva Cox Collins; two brothers, Johnny Waddell and David Waddell; and a sister, Virginia Waddell Phillips.

He is survived by four sons, Hubert (René) and granddaughter Lauren, of Sunset Beach, NC, Wayne Cox of Lumberton, Bill Cox (Lorena) of Carthage, NC, and Frankie Cox (Sherry) of Proctorville; four brothers, Mack (Donna), Jimmy (Martha), Tommy (Kathy), and Buddy; four sisters, Jean Bozeman (Kirby), Myrtle Norton, Faye Loyd, and Elizabeth Britt; twelve additional grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton, NC, with Reverend Dennis Harrell officiating.
