Obituary

Hubert Allen Bodiford, age 79, of Lumberton, died at home on Saturday, April 14, 2018. He was born April 21, 1938 in Robeson County. He served in the US Army from 1961-1963, stationed in Germany and Arkansas. He later retired from West Point Pepperell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Virginia Bodiford, and two brothers: Gene Bodiford and Melvin Bodiford.
He is survived by his wife, Shelby Bullard Bodiford of the home; three daughters: Connie B. Britt, Kim B. Farthing and husband David, and Tabatha B. Bullard and husband Vicky Ray; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers: Bobby Bodiford and wife Lou of Lumberton, Jerry Bodiford and wife Helen of Lumberton, Mike Bodiford and wife Rose of Charleston, SC, and Ronnie Bodiford and wife Debra of Lumberton; one sister, Dianne Wrampe and husband Darryl; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Bodiford.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton and other times at the home, 91 Sedgefield Drive in Lumberton
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rodney Evers officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to Disabled American Veterans Home, Chapter 11, 4601 Park Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28406.
