Obituary

Howard Ray Bellamy, age 85, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.  He was born in Columbus County, NC on July 27, 1930 to the late Bryant P. and Riscoe Britt Bellamy.  He worked for over forty years for the City of Lumberton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Meredith Nobles Bellamy; and a brother, J.D. Bellamy.
Mr. Bellamy is survived by his children, Troy Bellamy (Denise), David Bellamy (Patricia); and a step-son, Tommy Bellamy; grandchildren, Shawn Bellamy (Deidre), Chad Bellamy (Courtney), Kristin A. Weibe (George), Kaitlan G. Bellamy, and Kimbelin B. Bellamy; great-grandchildren, Kenley Bellamy, Abigail Bellamy, Izabella Bellamy, Ameliah K. Weibe, Adelyn E. Weibe, and Alarie G. Weibe; and a special niece, Marsha Jo Hewitt.
A funeral service is going to be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton.  Burial will follow in Meadows Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton and at other times at the home at 715 East 8th Street in Lumberton.
In lieu of flowers memorials are encouraged to be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
