Horace Lee, Sr., age 81, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Southeastern Health in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on January 19, 1935 to the late John Thomas & Euzeba Lee. He was formerly employed with Burlington Mills for 37 years as a weaver.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Lee, and one brother, Johnny Lee.

He is survived by 1 son, Horace "Tom" Lee & wife Cathy of Lumberton; 2 daughters: Patricia Hayes & husband Wayne of Wilmington and Jean Heubach & husband Greg of Lumberton; 2 brothers: Gerald Lee and Mitchell Lee, both of Lumberton; 1 sister, Martha Williams of Lexington; 5 grandchildren: Emmy Hayes, Jason Hayes, Jonathan Hayes, Daniel Lee, & Kody Heubach; and 1 great-grandchild, Harper Hayes.

A time of visitation will take place prior to the service on Monday, August 1, 2016, from 2:00-3:00 PM at East Lumberton Baptist Church.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, also at the church, with Rev. Michael Bowen & Rev. LeRoy Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
