Horace Durham Davis, age 84, of Lumberton, NC died on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on November 24, 1925 to Michael Lester and Susan Mae Hardin Davis. He was a World War II veteran having served in both the United States Navy and Army. He previously worked as a punch press operator and metal stamper.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Diane P. Davis of the home; three sons, Tim Davis of Lumberton, NC, Horace Davis, Jr. of Suffolk, VA and Kenneth Davis, Sr. of Windsor, VA; one daughter, Cindy Malatesta of Gates, NC; two sisters, Mildred Surles and Annie Ruth Thompson both of Lumberton, NC; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 8:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. David G. Anderson officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
