Hollis Britt, 84, of Lumberton, died on Friday, May 27 2022 in UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Lumberton, NC on May 7, 1938 to the late Hilbert & Katie Britt. Hollis was known by all to be a dedicated, life-long farmer and fisherman.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hilton and Danny Britt; a sister Carolyn Bock; and his former wife of more than 30 years, Mary E. Walters.

He is survived by two brothers, James M. "Buddy" Britt of Lumberton, NC and Roger Britt of Pembroke, NC; one sister, Shelby Faulk of Lumberton, NC; one daughter, Sonya Britt of Mooresboro, NC; and a granddaughter, Brandi Jones of Hickory, NC; as well as a whole host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 11:00AM - 12:30PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at New Hollywood Cemetery.

The family will also be receiving friends and loved ones at other times at the home of Buddy Britt.
