Dr. Hiren Patel, 59, died on August 13, 2025.

He served Robeson County as a primary care physician since 1994 and was a dearly beloved member of the community. He was equally well known for his skill as a PCP as he was for his quick wit, humor and generosity. His family is immensely grateful for the outpouring of love and support from his friends, family and all those who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Niyati, and their son, Sujan, his parents, Ramanbhai and Urmilaben, and large extended family.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11am at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
