Mrs. Hilda Rea Lowery Ransom, age 84, of Lumberton, NC, passed away at her home on Monday, November 9, 2020. She was born in Robeson County, NC on June 20, 1936 to the late Daulmon Lowery and the late Katie Locklear Lowery.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Gary Ransom; two brothers, Albert Lowery and Daulmon Lowery, Jr.; two sisters, Phyllis Yaw and Luvertie Potts; and a grandson, John Robert Hunt.

She is survived by her children, Ricky Ransom of the home and Lori Ransom of Lumberton, NC; a grandson, Daniel Brooks of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Larry Lowery of Lumberton, NC; and a sister, Judy Cummings of Lumberton, NC.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 13, 2020, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Mrs. Hilda's home, 465 Odum Road in Lumberton, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Lumbee Memorial Gardens in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Teresa Lee officiating.
