Hilda Bailey Stephens Hall, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Southeastern Hospice House of Lumberton. She was born on June 7, 1922 in Nichols, SC. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph C. Stephens, and Thomas Hall; her son, Ralph C. Stephens, Jr.; her sisters, Mildred, Audrey, and Leona; and her brothers, Doug, Hicks, Hal, Dalcho, Burroughs, Wilton, and Jack. She is survived by three daughters and special sons-in-law, Wanda and Jeff Musselwhite of Wilmington, Jan and Dick Ivey of Lynchburg, VA, and Beth and Ralph Bowen of Lumberton; four grandsons, Matt Musselwhite of Wilmington, Josh and Jason Stephens of Charlotte, and Richard and Leigh Ann Ivey of Raleigh; one granddaughter, Jennifer and Mike Mattscheck of Charlotte; and two great granddaughters, Ivey and Maddie Mattscheck. The pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and grandsons. We the family, express words of gratitude to her caregivers, Dorothy Walters and Valerie McCoy, the Intensive Care Unit of Southeastern Regional Medical Center, and Southeastern Hospice House. The funeral service will be held at Floyd Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Joe Bounds will be officiating. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
