Hilda "Nell" Fields' Obituary
Hilda Gaynell "Nell" Fields, age 84, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017. She was born November 25, 1932 in Guilford County to the late Carlos Fields and the late Gladys Stallings Fields.
She was a graduate of the former Womack Salina Business College in Lumberton and went on to become an administrative assistant in banking. She was also a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Lumberton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters: Dortheal "Dot" Fields and Sybil Fields Phillips and husband James.
She is survived by a very special cousin, Vonnie Gay Allen of Lumberton.
A time of visitation will take place prior to the service on Monday, September 4, 2017, from 2:00-3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Lumberton
Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Dr. David Elks officiating. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Faith Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 938, Lumberton, NC 28359.
