Herman Manley West, age 83, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Roberson County, NC on February 7, 1932 to the late Ben and Viola Lewis West. He previously worked as a salesman for Ralston Purina. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Aileen L. West; brothers, L.D. West and Stacy West; and a sister, Dorothy West Taylor. Mr. West is survived by two sons, Larry West (Laura), and Murray West (Annette) all of Lumberton; a daughter, Jeanette West Walters (Larry) of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at East Lumberton Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Bowen and Pastor LeRoy Burke officiating. Burial will follow in the West Family Cemetery.
