Henry Franklin Leggette, 78, of 1557 Proctorville Church Road, Proctorville, NC died on April 11, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. Mr. Leggette was born on November 26, 1930 to Jacob Oswell and Sarah Covington Leggette in Robeson County. He was a loving husband and father, an active member of Proctorville Baptist Church and a retired manager of Longley Supply Company.

He is predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Jacob Oswell Leggette, Jr. and Vincent Leggette; and one sister, Valeria Nye.

Mr. Leggette is survived by his wife, Betty Stone Leggette of the home; two sons, Tyrone Leggette and wife, Cheryl of Lumberton, NC and Andy Leggette and wife, Wanda. of Lake Waccammaw, NC; one daughter, Lisa Lovette and husband, Craig of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, William Allen Leggette and wife Nell Dean of Laurinburg, NC and Bruce Leggette and wife, Margaret of Fairmont, NC; one sister, Doris Dietrich and husband, Edward of Highlands, NC; and four grandchildren, Whitney and Kristen Lovette and Tyler and Kaylynn Leggette.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Proctorville Baptist Church in Proctorville, NC with the Reverends Steve Johnson and Nash Odom officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, April 12, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, Inc in Lumberton, NC.
