Mr. Henry Carroll, 88, of Bladenboro, NC, passed away Friday, January 26 at his home. He was born in Bladen County, NC on February 24, 1935 to the late Sam Carroll and the late Cora Lee Powers.

Henry was proud of his service in the U.S. Army. He worked in the textile industry and after retirement was called on to assist textile plants across the country. Henry also enjoyed going on various trips and he especially loved being at his beach house in Oak Island. Henry was a member of Zion's Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Norma Lois Butler Carroll and two infant daughters, one who was named Sonja Jean Carroll; sister, Mary Carroll Howard; brothers, Tom Carroll and Sam Wallace Carroll; and his niece, Felicia Callihan.

He is survived sisters, Inez Allen and Joyce Chavis (Knox); brother, Albert Lee Carroll, a special niece, Lisha Walters (Wayne) of Lumberton, NC; a special nephew, Craig Callihan (Twyla) of Bladenboro, NC; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm.

Entombment will follow at Gardens of Faith Mausoleum, 5190 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
