Mrs. Helen Ashworth Wilkins, age 79, passed away Thursday, December 03, 2015, at Southeastern Health in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on October 1, 1936 to the late Linville Ashworth and Thelma Bundy Branch. She was formerly employed as a dietician for Wesley Pines.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Burney Wilkins; four brothers: Russell Ashworth, Elwood Branch, A.K. Branch, and Norwood Branch; and two sisters: Mary Prevatte and Ernestine Goodman.

Helen is survived by one son, Kenneth Wilkins and wife Rhonda Kaye of Inman, SC; two daughters: Jean Ivey and husband Ronnie and Geraldine Bland and husband Wayne, all of Lumberton; one sister, Faye Martin of Lumberton; three grandchildren: Christi K. Pait, Anthony Bland, and Jessica Lynn Wilkins; and two great-grandchildren: Justin Blake Jones and Greyson Floyd.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Full Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. George Conner officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.
